I have seen first-hand the transformative power that therapy can offer which is why if I discern therapy is in the best interest of one of my clients, I will recommend therapy as their primary treatment plan.

Unlike other coaches...
...In addition to the 3000 hours of supervision required for California licensure, I completed 18 months of advanced couples therapy training supervised by a licensed psychologist to ensure my competence as a marriage specialist. While I love the freedom that coaching affords me, it is a bit disconcerting that anyone who desires to become a relationship coach can do so without any formal training, accountability, or oversight. It would be all too easy for a highly motivated opportunist to take advantage of a couple seeking help and transformation in their marriage.
And don't forget my 40 years of life experience!
I don't want to discount the experience offered by my younger comrades. But there's something to be said about meeting with a coach who has solid practice and the life experience to back it up. When I married Mark 40+ years ago, I had no idea I was marrying an entrepreneur! Heck, we didn't even know what that word meant 40 years ago, but I knew I was marrying a dreamer. If there's anything my marriage has taught me, it's that the lives of those who want a successful marriage AND business are full of unique challenges and celebrations. One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and your marriage is the time-tested insights of those who had made that journey ahead of you.
