Bob & Rose Knorr
Show notes:
My guests on today’s episode are Bob & Rose Knorr. They are an example of what Chip Conley refers to as “modern-day elders”. But don’t confuse elders with “old”. Very much still young at heart, they are investing in the next generation of entrepreneurs and young adults.
In this episode, the Knorrs share their experience of launching and scaling Tapestry Medical Inc. They faced what seemed to be insurmountable challenges as the company grew, partially fueled by the financial crisis of 2008. Bob shares a transformational shift regarding his faith that he experienced when they were at the brink of disaster. We talk about their commitment as a team throughout this journey. I think they are an example of the best of marriage. Fasten your seatbelts. You’re in for a wild ride in this episode.
Bob has over 30 years of diversified experience as a corporate executive, entrepreneur, and early-stage investor. He has founded more than 10 new business ventures in both corporate and independent settings. Tapestry Medical Inc., the topic of this conversation, was one of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies by 2008. Currently, Bob is affiliated with three of the nation’s top schools for entrepreneurial education including: 1) Baylor University where he serves as Entrepreneur in Residence and a Board Member of Baylor Angel Network (BAN), 2) the University of Pennsylvania where he teaches a graduate-level course in entrepreneurship, and 3) Drexel University, where he has recently joined the Advisory Board at the Close School for Entrepreneurship.
You can find Bob on LinkedIn under his fancy name: Robert J. Knorr, III
